 WELCOME AND PRAYER

MINISTRY MINUTE VIDEO

MEDITATION MOMENT

PRELUDE

 INVOCATION
L: We begin this hour of worship in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

 All: Amen.

CONFESSION

L: Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another.

All: Most merciful God, we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves.

We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us.

Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name.
 Amen.

 ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

P: In the mercy of Almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for you, and for his sake God forgives you all your sins. To those who believe in Jesus Christ he gives the power to become the children of God and bestows on them the Holy Spirit.

 All: Amen

L: In Jesus' name we pray.

 ALL: Amen.

 FIRST LESSON

Ezekiel 19:16-17 and 19
“Therefore say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’ “Therefore say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will gather you from the nations and bring you back from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you back the land of Israel again.’ I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

 GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

Alleluia, Alleluia
 Alleluia, Alleluia!

 GOSPEL

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN THE 4TH CHAPTER

All - Glory to You, O Lord

John 4:19–26

“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.  You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.  Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I who speak to you am he.”

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
 Hallowed be Thy name
 Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread

against us.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever
